  • This robust structure serves as the critical backbone, integrating drivetrain, braking, and lubrication systems for multi-axle FAW trucks, ensuring power transfer, stability, and reliable stopping power.
  • Intermediate Axle Assembly: The complete system comprising the Intermediate Axle Housing Assembly, drivetrain components (Intermediate Final Drive Assy, Wheel Reduction Gear Assy, Half Shafts), braking system (Brake Chamber Assembly, Brake Subassembly, Brake Drum), and associated mounting hardware. Designed for optimal load distribution and performance in tandem axle configurations.
  • Intermediate Axle Housing Assembly: The primary, high-strength cast or fabricated housing forming the structural core. It encloses the Intermediate Final Drive Assy, provides mounting points for the Wheel Hub Assy, Brake Chamber Assembly, Camshaft Bracket Assy, and incorporates critical lubrication ports sealed by the Oil Filler Plug, Oil Drain Plug, Hexagon Tapered Plug, and Square-Sloted Tapered Magnetic Plug (with integral magnet). Features End Covers secured by Bolts and Cross Head Screws.
  • Intermediate Final Drive & Reduction: The core gearset transferring engine torque to the wheels:
  • Intermediate Final Drive Assy: Typically the differential carrier assembly mounted within the housing.
  • Wheel Reduction Gear Assy: Planetary gearset (including Sun Wheel, Adjusting Gasket, Sun Wheel Gasket) often integrated into the wheel end for final torque multiplication.
  • Half Shafts: Transmit power from the differential to the wheel reduction units or hubs.
