Foton Front Ballast Bracket Assembly

Ballast Bracket (Dual): The primary left and right structural members. These heavy-duty, engineered brackets are bolted to the tractor’s front chassis rails, creating the rigid platform onto which the actual ballast weights (blocks) are mounted. Designed to withstand significant bending moments and vibration.

Front Ballast Bracket Mat Block: A specialized spacer, shim, or mounting base plate. This component ensures precise alignment between the Ballast Brackets and the tractor chassis, provides a flat bearing surface for secure mounting, and may compensate for manufacturing tolerances or specific model variations.

8.8-A3L Stud: A critical high-tensile strength metric stud (Grade 8.8 indicates tensile strength; A3L likely specifies length/threading). This stud is permanently fixed or threaded into the tractor chassis or the Mat Block, projecting outwards to receive the Ballast Bracket.

Bolt: Used in conjunction with other fasteners to secure the Ballast Brackets to the chassis or the Mat Block, typically where a stud isn’t used or for additional reinforcement.

Washer (Multiple): Flat washers used under the heads of bolts and nuts. They distribute clamping load evenly across the Ballast Bracket and Mat Block surfaces, prevent surface damage, and ensure consistent fastener tension. Essential for longevity under stress.

Nut: Used to thread onto the projecting 8.8-A3L Stud and tighten against a Washer, clamping the Ballast Bracket securely to the Front Ballast Bracket Mat Block and the tractor chassis. This creates a rigid, vibration-resistant connection.
