  • Powering performance and safety in demanding conditions, the comprehensive Dongfeng Electrical System integrates critical components for vehicle operation, monitoring, and control. Engineered for durability and consistent power delivery, this system ensures dependable starting, lighting, signaling, and vital engine parameter monitoring.
  • Core Power Generation & Management
    The system’s foundation lies in the Battery, providing essential starting power and electrical reserve. High-current Battery cables efficiently transfer this energy. The Generator replenishes power during operation, regulated by the Voltage regulator to maintain optimal charging voltage and protect sensitive electronics. Power distribution is managed centrally by the Fuse box, safeguarding circuits against overloads.
  • Engine Control & Starting Systems
    Critical engine parameters are monitored by sensors: the Water temperature sensor tracks coolant heat, the Oil pressure sensor monitors lubrication health, and the rotation speed senser (M18x1.5) provides RPM data to the Combination meter (ZB103-7A). Cold starts are aided by Pre-heating plugs, controlled via the Pre-heating starting switch. The powerful Starting motor engages the engine, activated by the Starting relay and typically accessed through the Starting scutcheon.
  • Driver Controls & Instrumentation
    The driver interacts with the system via a dedicated switch cluster: the Head lamp switch (JK938A) controls main lighting, the Parking flasher (JK938A) activates hazard lights, the Horn swich triggers the Electrucity horn (EC), the Turning swich signals direction, the Tail lamp switch manages rear lights, and the Caution light swich activates warning indicators. The Combination meter (ZB103-7A) displays vital engine data (speed, temperature, pressure) and system warnings. The Electrucity stop (emergency engine shutdown) and Security switch enhance safety protocols.
  • Lighting & Signaling Circuits
    Front illumination is handled by robust Head lamps (EC) and Turning lamps (EC), connected via the Front wiring harness. Rear signaling and visibility are ensured by the Tail lamp and Combination rear signal lamp (E), along with the license plate lamp (EC), wired through dedicated Left-rear wiring harness and Right-rear wiring harness circuits. The Flasher unit regulates turn signal timing. The Brakelight switch activates brake lights upon pedal depression.
  • Wiring Infrastructure & Protection
    The intricate network connecting all components relies on the Main wiring harness as the central backbone and the Front wiring harness for engine bay connections. Cable splice jackets provide secure, protected joins. Wire clips and Clingulum (wire protection conduit/grommets) ensure organized, vibration-resistant, and chafe-proof routing throughout the chassis. Additional protective Jackets shield vulnerable wire sections.
