What is the Dongfeng PTO

  • 1. Dual-Speed Gear Train & Shaft Assembly
    The Dongfeng PTO offers versatile 540/1000 RPM operation through its robust gear train. Power flows via the Driving gear shaft (540/1000), engaging the Middle gear (540/1000) mounted on the Middle shaft, and finally to the Shifting gear (540/1000). This assembly is supported by precision bearings: Ball bearing 108 (input end), Ball bearing 209 (middle shaft), and Ball bearing 307 (output end). Axial positioning is ensured by Locating plate of middle shaft and Circlip for shaft 35. Needle rollers (Needle roller 3×23.8) minimize friction on gear bores. Output options include a PTO shaft (of 6 teeth) and PTO shaft (of 8 teeth) for implement compatibility.
  • 2. Positive Engagement Shift Mechanism
  • Shift Control: Operator selection between speeds is facilitated by the PTO control lever and PTO control handle, transmitting motion through the Controlling shaft. This shaft rotates within a Controlling shaft bushing and is sealed by an O-ring seal10.6×2.65.
  • Fork Actuation: The shaft moves a Shift fork along the Shift fork shaft. Precise gear engagement is maintained by a Shift fork positioning spring acting on a Steel ball 9.5, providing tactile detents. The fork position is secured by a Locating plate of shift fork sh.
  • Secure Retention: Components are locked with Circlip for shaft 15, Straight pin B8×26, and Slotted spring pin 6×28.
  • 3. Housing, Sealing & Bearing Solutions
  • Structural Enclosure: The PTO gear housing integrates with the Rear cover of rear axle, sealed by Gasket of rear cover components. A dedicated Cover provides additional access.
  • Comprehensive Sealing: Multi-layer protection includes:
  • Oil seal FB40×62×8: Primary shaft seal.
  • Oil seal blocking ring: Reinforces the main seal.
  • O-ring seal 30×2.65 & O-ring seal 80×2.65: Seal static housing interfaces.
  • Bushing gasket: Seals bushing interfaces.
  • Specialized Bearing: The Bearing K223020 handles specific loads within the engagement system.
  • 4. Safety-Certified Shielding & Fastening
  • Operator Protection: Features a mandatory PTO shaft shield and PTO shaft safety cover, ensuring compliance with agricultural safety standards (e.g., ISO 5674).
  • Vibration-Proof Fastening: Utilizes high-integrity bolts throughout:
  • Hex. head bolt M8×16 / M8×25 / M10×30 / M12×35.
  • Secured by Spring lock washer 8, Spring lock washer 10, Spring lock washer 12, Lock washer, and Plain washer 8.
  • Blocking Rings: Critical Blocking ring elements prevent unintended gear disengagement under load.
