  • 1. FAW Steering Control and Transmission Module: Directing Motion
    This integrated module forms the critical link between the driver’s input and the FAW truck’s wheels. It precisely translates steering wheel rotation into controlled front wheel movement while incorporating elements for steering gear stability and drivetrain connection, ensuring responsive handling and directional stability.
  • 2. Steering Gear Mounting Foundation
  • Tray Assembly Of Steering Gear: This robust structural platform provides the primary mounting base for the Power Steering Mechanism Assy, securely anchoring it to the vehicle chassis or crossmember.
  • Hexagon Flange Bolt Thick Rod (Standard Type): High-strength bolts with integrated flanges and thick shanks are used to rigidly fasten the Tray Assembly Of Steering Gear to the chassis. Their design offers superior shear strength and load distribution.
  • Hexagon Flange Nut: Paired with the thick rod flange bolts, these nuts ensure a high-integrity, vibration-resistant connection for the steering gear mount.
  • 3. Steering Linkage & Knuckle Connection
  • Steering Knuckle Arm: This forged arm is directly attached to the steering knuckle/spindle. It translates the linear motion from the drag link into pivotal wheel movement.
  • Steering Drag Link Assembly: This critical rod connects the pitman arm (output from the steering gear) to the Steering Knuckle Arm, transmitting steering force across the axle.
  • Hex Slotted Flat Nut & Split Pin: Used to secure the drag link ends to the pitman arm and knuckle arm. The Hex Slotted Flat Nut is torqued and then secured by inserting a Split Pin through the slot and the castellated end of the tie rod, providing a mechanical lock against loosening under vibration.
  • Hexagon Flange Bolt Thick Rod (Standard Type): Used at key points to securely attach linkage components like the drag link ends or knuckle arm, benefiting from the bolt’s high strength and flange for load spreading.
  • 4. Steering Column Shaft Support & Sealing
  • Steering Propeller Shaft Bracket Assy: This bracket assembly provides essential intermediate support for the Steering Propeller Shaft Assy, reducing vibration and ensuring smooth rotational transfer between the steering column upper shaft and the steering gear input shaft.
  • Gasket-Steering Propeller Shaft Lower Bracket: A sealing Gasket is fitted at the mounting interface of the lower shaft bracket to prevent dust, moisture, and contaminants from entering the cabin or damaging the shaft bearing/seal.
  • Steering Propeller Shaft Assy: The collapsible shaft assembly itself, connecting the steering wheel column to the input of the Power Steering Mechanism Assy, allowing for slight angular misalignment and providing a safety collapse mechanism.
  • 5. Hydraulic Line Securement (Adjacent System)
  • Worm Drive Type Hose Clamp Type B: While primarily part of the hydraulic system, this specific heavy-duty clamp type is often used near the steering gear assembly to securely fasten and seal high-pressure or return power steering fluid hoses onto their fittings, preventing leaks and hose detachment near moving components.
